"It used to be routinely possible to enter the paddock behind the pits at Silverstone and many other race tracks and also to walk along the pit road after practice had finished. Being quite interested in racing cars I looked forward to the opportunity to get some close-up photos of the cars with their clothes off. This race marked the end of that era at Silverstone. I had intended to take a walk down the pit lane, as usual, but as soon as practice was finished this fence was put in place. Something in me just snapped and that was the end."
