Ontem revi POLLOCK dirigido pelo ótimo ator Ed Harris. Gostei do filme quando passou no cinema e ao ser lançando em DVD comprei uma cópia (infelizmente, no Brasil, foi lançado no "criminoso" formato "tela cheia")
Com uma atuação brilhante (incrível semelhança física com Pollock) indicada ao Oscar, e uma direção segura, o filme retrata o atormentado pintor, do surgimento até a trágica morte. Ed Harris teve interesse em filmar Pollock depois de ler um livro sobre o artista.
O resto do elenco é de primeira: Marcia Gay Harden como Lee Krasner, também indicada ao Oscar, Jennifer Connelly, Jeffrey Tambor e Amy Madigan como Peggy Guggenheim.

Museum Music is a terrific company that creates compilations to accompany exhibitions in museums, and their Jackson Pollock Jazz CD, created for the Jackson Pollock Retrospective at MoMA, is another example of their thoughtful and insightful work.
According to Pollock's wife, Lee Krasner, Pollock thought that jazz was "the only other really creative thing happening in this country," and he would sometimes listen to jazz around the clock for days on end!
