ENDURANCE WORLD RECORD, MONZA

Rico Steinemann, Jo Siffert, Charles Vögele and Dieter Spoerry

1967 - The week after Mexico, Jo Siffert joined fellow countrymen Rico Steinemann, Dieter Spoerry and Charles Vogele to set a number of world records with a Porsche at Monza. Their initial plan was to use a Porsche 906, but that car broke after some 2.000 kilometres.

They started over again using a Porsche 911R. They managed five world records within four days. The Swiss drivers set new records over 10.000 miles, 15.000 and 20.000 Kilometres as well as over seventy-two and ninety-six hours.
